The EBITS Centre is a dedicated business and information technology (IT) education and training facility located on-site at Boyne Island Smelter (BSL), Handley Drive, Boyne Island.
Students undertake the subjects in an authentic workplace environment and engage in work experience on-site at BSL or off-site with local employers on a regular basis. Students also interact with, and undertake work for clients and/or dedicate time to their traineeship. The learning environment duplicates the expectations, ethics and discipline of a commercial workplace developing their employability skills and/or preparation for post-secondary studies.
EBITS Centre students are very aware of industry conditions and standards especially those associated with workplace health and safety, communication, teamwork and leadership.

Operational Information
Students from all schools attend the EBITS Centre at least 1 day/week.
7.30am - 12.30am Curriculum work
1.30pm - 3.00pm Enterprise Activities (work experience, work for clients, traineeship)
Students can remain OP eligible and QCE eligible

Transport for Gladstone students to and from the EBITS Centre is provided by Stonestreets Coaches ($2 each way).
Students inducted onto BSL site and are provided with a BSL uniform, security card and safety glasses
Students must supply a 5 subject notepad.
Students are subject to random alcohol and drug testing
Fees: From 2012 students will pay a $100 enrolment and materials fees.
